2025 FEBS Congress participant support schemes

Turkish Biochemical Society (TBS) support for local participation (opening soon): TBS will provide a registration bursary for junior (Young Scientist) and senior (Academic) local participants from Türkiye, who should thus pay a registration fee of €245 (early Young Scientist), €295 (regular Young Scientist), €325 (early Academic) or €375 (regular Academic), as applicable. For banking reasons, local participants resident in Türkiye paying with credit card must pay in Turkish lira. This registration payment pathway will open later, by 1 December 2024. Once open, please select the registration category ‘Turkish Young Scientist’ or ‘Turkish Academic’ for this payment pathway when starting registration and abstract submission.

FEBS YSF grants: these provide registration fee and travel support for scientists (from FEBS countries) selected to take part in FEBS Young Scientists' Forum 2025 immediately preceding the FEBS Congress (as well as attending the Congress). For more information, see the YSF applications page. Two participants from outside the FEBS area will also be supported by IUBMB. Application deadline is 12 December 2024. Please select the registration category ‘YSF Applicant’ when starting registration and abstract submission.

FEBS Congress bursaries: these offer registration fee and travel support for early-career scientists from outside Türkiye travelling to the event from FEBS countries (Europe and some bordering countries with a FEBS Constituent Society). Application deadline is 13 March 2025. Applicants must be submitting an abstract to the Congress as first author; for full eligibility criteria and details of how to apply, see the FEBS bursaries webpage. Bursaries are paid by FEBS to successful candidates after their participation in the event. Please select the registration category ‘Young Scientist’ when starting registration and abstract submission.

FEBS Sprinzl Scheme: this is a 50% reduced early-bird registration fee for scientists resident/working in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Morocco, Moldova, Serbia, Tunisia and Ukraine who are submitting an abstract to the Congress as first author and are not eligible for FEBS Congress bursaries. For more information, click here. Application deadline is 30 January 2025. There are also a small number of Sprinzl travel grants available. Please select one of the Sprinzl applicant categories when starting registration and abstract submission.
